A Canada Visitor Visa allows individuals to travel to Canada for tourism, visiting family or friends, or attending business events for a stay of up to 6 months.

✅ Step-by-Step Application Process

Step 1: Determine Eligibility

You must:

• Hold a valid passport

• Be in good health

• Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions

• Prove ties to your home country (job, family, assets)

• Demonstrate sufficient financial support for your stay

• Intend to leave Canada at the end of your visit

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

Step 3: Complete the Application

• Create an account and apply online via the official IRCC portal:

• Complete the IMM 5257 and IMM 5645 (Family Information) forms

• Upload your documents

Step 4: Pay the Fees

• Visa application fee: CAD 100

• Biometrics fee (if required): CAD 85

Step 5: Biometrics Appointment

• Schedule and attend an appointment at your nearest Visa Application Centre (VAC) to give your fingerprints and photo.

Step 6: Wait for Processing

• Processing times vary by country (typically 2 to 6 weeks)

• You may be asked for additional documents or to attend an interview

Step 7: Visa Decision & Passport Submission

• If approved, submit your passport to the VAC for visa stamping (if not already submitted)

• You will receive a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) sticker in your passport
